Fry Hard: A Guide to Making the Worst French Fries of Your Life

Ingredients:

• 2 potatoes (or however many you feel like peeling)
• Salt
• Oil (for deep frying, unless you're feeling lazy and just want to microwave them)

Instructions:

1. Begin by peeling the potatoes. If you're feeling particularly masochistic, use a butter knife. If you're feeling lazy, leave the skin on for that "homegrown" vibe.

2. Cut the potatoes into thin strips. Use a mandoline for thin and even strips, or use your hands for rustic fries.

3. Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Use truffle oil for a fancy touch, or use whatever oil is already in the pan from the last time you cooked.

4. Carefully drop the potato strips into the hot oil. Use tongs for easy handling or just use your hands with some oven mitts.

5. Fry the potatoes until they're golden brown and crispy. Flip them every so often for even cooking, or just let them sit there and hope for the best.

6. Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with truffle salt for fancy touch, or just sprinkle with regular salt.

7. Serve with ketchup, mayo, or any other condiments you can find in the fridge. Serve with aioli or fancy mustard for a fancy touch, or just eat them plain.
